BirdwatchingCR was born in 2020 from our deep passion and love for birds in San José, Costa Rica. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we found ourselves confined to our homes, disconnected from the outside world. However, in the midst of isolation, a simple tree in front of our house became a source of solace and inspiration.As we observed this tree daily, we noticed the presence of vibrant little creatures—birds of various species, each with unique colors, sizes, and songs. What began as a casual pastime soon evolved into a profound fascination. Our curiosity led us to document our observations, take photographs, and track the different species we encountered.It was then that we asked ourselves: Why not share this beauty with people around the world? From this simple idea, BirdwatchingCR was born—transforming our love for birds into a meaningful project that allows others to experience the wonder of birdwatching in Costa Rica.
